What is your role within CipherHealth?

- I am a part of the Talent + Culture team as the Talent Acquisition Specialist. I am responsible for helping to find great people to join our team, acclimate new hires, and come up with fun ideas to keep our team members happy and fulfilled in their roles.
Could you walk us through a day in your role?
While no two days are the same, there are certainly a few core threads that run through each day. A few hours are usually spent reviewing resumes, interviewing new candidates, or training a new employee. Part of what I love most is knowing that my role allows me to find the right people for our growing needs.
What is your favorite thing about working at CipherHealth?
My favorite part of working at Cipher is the passion. Whenever I walk by two or more people excitedly talking about something, it is almost always about a project they are working on or a challenge they are trying to solve. It’s an inspiring environment and reminds me that what we do is really meant to help people heal and stay healthy.
Can you tell us about a fun project you have worked on recently?
At the beginning of the summer, I had the idea of creating a wellness newsletter that would encourage the team to partake in activities that promote health and wellbeing. Since one of our core values is to “just do it,” I was able to ideate and execute on the newsletter really quickly. So far, it has been well received and great to see everyone participate in something as simple as drinking more water every day!
What advice would you give someone just starting out in a healthcare career?
As a company that straddles both healthcare and technology, we have to be really adaptable. You have to be flexible to changing regulations, technology, and structures.
And finally, what do you like to do outside of CipherHealth?
I love to travel, do yoga, explore museums, cook, and go to bed early.
