Removing Friction from the Healthcare Industry
Patrick McGill, MD: I think that at Community we’re also looking at consumerism from removing friction and so you know healthcare is fraught with a lot of friction. It’s difficult to schedule an appointment, it’s difficult to know where your referral status is, you know obviously there’s price transparency and so really looking at care and how the patient wants to receive it but also respecting the patient as a person, know me as a person, value and respect my time, but remove the friction from the healthcare system and allow me as a consumer or a patient to navigate the system without a bunch of barriers and walls that I can’t get around.
