Recently, Peninsula Regional Medical Center (PRMC) announced they are the first hospital in Maryland to adopt real-time digital rounding technology. The hospital initially set out to utilize the tool for hand hygiene adherence, and upon the success of the program expanded to quality and nurse leader rounds on patients.
Digital rounding is proving to help improve CAHPS scores, reduce infections, decrease falls, and enhance overal patient care. As Sheri Matter, CNO and VP of Patient Care Services at PRMC stated, “By improving the feedback loop with patients, we hope we can help them recover better and be discharged sooner.”
CipherHealth’s digital rounding solution, Orchid, provides real-time feedback and in-depth reports that help nurses close the loop on patient issues quickly. Orchid’s features and PRMC’s focus on delivering quality care combine to help PRMC achieve both short-term and long-term goals.
