March Toward Your Goals: 4 Ways to get Back on Track

Wow! We can’t believe it is already March and Spring is just around the corner! At CipherHealth we have our best analysts trying to figure out where the time went. As we enter into this next chapter, we like to check in to see if we are still on track to meet our personal 2019 goals.

If you haven’t accomplished (or started!) to work these goals do not fret, here are a few tips and tricks to help hold yourself accountable and ensure success in 2019.

  • Create Micro Goals: Large tasks can often seem overwhelming, so we become frustrated and never take first steps. Breakdown your objectives into small manageable pieces. If you are still feeling overwhelmed, break them down again until you feel as though you have tasks that you are able to accomplish.
  • Write Goals Down: Bullet journals, vision boards, to-do lists. No matter how you do it make sure to write your intentions down or express them in a tangible way. Displaying these somewhere easily visible also helps to keep your goals top of mind.
  • Partner with a Friend: This advice is cliche for a reason – it works. It is always easier and more fun to stick with something when you have a buddy to suffer through the process with you. They also help keep you accountable!
  • Treat Yourself: You know what they say about all work and no play? Once you have checked something off of your to do list reward yourself. Just make sure you stick to bigger treats for bigger accomplishments and smaller ones for those micro goals. Grab your buddy and celebrate!

People often overestimate what they can get done in a day and underestimate what they can accomplish in a year. By taking small steps in the right direction, you can not only accomplish, but surpass your yearly goals.
